Fix “Some info may be missing from your file” in QuickBooks
This message usually means QuickBooks cannot interpret the file consistently. A missing header, blank required value, malformed row, wrong mapping or unsupported formatting can all trigger it.
Work on a copy, map the required columns, normalize one date and amount format, then review every flagged row before importing.
What usually causes it
- The file has no clear Date, Description and Amount fields
- A quoted description contains a delimiter that was parsed incorrectly
- One or more rows are blank or shorter than the header
- Dates are empty or outside the selected order
- Amounts include symbols, spaces or text
- The file was exported with an unexpected delimiter or encoding

Save a working copy
Do not edit the only copy of the bank export.

Confirm every row has the same structure
A single broken row can make the whole file appear incomplete.

Check required values
Look for missing dates, descriptions and transaction amounts.

Re-export a clean CSV
After correcting the flagged rows, save as a plain CSV and review it before import.
Important limits
This checker validates common file-format conditions. It does not select an accounting account, determine transaction purpose or guarantee that QuickBooks will accept a file. Back up the source and reconcile totals before importing.
